Darren Bevin

Senior Library Assistant

Darren deputises for the Librarian and is responsible for running the day-to-day operation of the library, user education (including online resources), cataloguing new acquisitions on the Newton catalogue and bibliographic enquiries. He also maintains the Library website and administers CamTools for the Library.

He was a graduate trainee librarian at the Institute for the Study of the Americas, University of London. He worked as Assistant Librarian and then Senior Assistant Librarian at Manchester Metropolitan University before running his own library in Brig, Switzerland.

He qualified in librarianship having completed an MA in Library & Information Studies at Loughborough University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals. He recently conducted research at the University of Exeter and received his PhD in 2009.
